May 1 is the fifth and final day of exploration of the ancient "Lion City" beneath the waters of Qiandao Lake, in East China’s Zhejiang Province.
The final day search targets include the city’s education center and the nearby Temple of Confucius. Robot teams began the search at the Temple. They found the site’s dilapidated walls and the remains of old trees around it.
Divers continued the exploration as visibility improved - filming large stone arches with intricate carvings. This all took place 33 meters below the surface. Unfortunately visibility was mostly poor because of heavy rains earlier.
