A "soldier of the Islamic State". That's how an ISIL-run news agency describes the man who stabbed nine people at a mall in the US state of Minnesota on Saturday. Meanwhile, the FBI is investigating the attack as a potential act of terrorism.
The FBI said the investigation is in its early stages and it's not known if the man had discussed his plan with others. Authorities have declined to identify the suspect, who was killed by an off-duty policeman.
According to local police, the man was wearing a private security uniform. The police say he made references to Allah and asked at least one person if they were Muslim before he assaulted them. Three victims remained hospitalized as of Sunday but none had life-threatening injuries.
